- Aotea: Sudden market fall for local produce seriously interfered with contributions to the Mission. Some tribes growing in faith, but in the Ngatitewehi tribe slight declension towards old superstitions.
- Kawhia: Similar market report, and also declension, to Aotea.
- Ahuahu: The natives "consider their honour involved in not having a Missionary as they had the valuable services of Rev. J. Whitely for many years". They refuse the subscribe to the mission till their request for a resident Missionary be met.

School Reports:
- Kawhia: Following an epidemic, and withdrawal of native children, school broke up for a time, but now again in operation with 8 Europeans and prospects of some natives.
- Ahuahu: Day School is also a Boarding School with 20 boarders, taught by a native schoolteacher and his wife. In the Industrial Department , teacher and pupils have broken in a pair of oxen and ploughed their own land for produce.TagsAnnual ReportConferenceBox No.162Item No.Folder 1
