Youth Department Photographs (1917 - 1950)

Descriptive

Description This special collection is comprised of photographs relating to national events of The Methodist Church of New Zealand's Youth Department, including annual conventions and bible class camps.

Further images covering the activities of youth groups (including bible classes) at a district level are available within the places photograph series, arranged by area, and also within separate collections compiled by individuals associated with youth activities.

Note:
The original prints are arranged in folders according to subject (in this case the particular event being recorded). We have chosen to maintain this order for the digital copies, so most separate item listings (and individual thumbnails) actually lead to a folder of multiple images.

In order to protect the privacy of living individuals, we have made the decision to only digitise images of identifiable individuals that pre-date 1950; or if the images post-date 1950, in instances where we know the individual is now deceased.Parent CollectionPhotographs, Slides, & Negatives
